What I’m Most Proud Of: Funeral for a Friend was a challenge because the playwright also was the producer and therefore was heavily involved in the casting process. We saw dozens of really fine middle-aged actresses for the roles of Eleanor and Liddy, and at first it seemed that we had a real difference of opinion as to who the best actors for the roles were. However, in the end, we both agreed on the two fine actors who threw themselves into their respective characters and turned in wonderful performances.
